Prerequisites: Basic Keelboat Sailing (101) and Basic Coastal Cruising (103) Certification

4 Days; live aboard.

Class size:
 Two students; this allows for continuous activity as each student takes turns at the helmsman and trimmer/navigator positions.


General Description: Bareboat Cruising (ASA-104) is an intermediate-level cruising course which focuses on yacht systems, practical navigation, and cruising logistics . The course will help prepare an individual to act as skipper or crew of a 30 - 50 foot boat cruising by day in unfamiliar coastal waters. The course includes boat handling under power and sail, navigation, boat system's, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance procedures.
