Class size: Two students; this allows for continuous activity as each student takes turns at the helmsman and trimmer/navigator positions.
General Description: Basic Coastal Cruising (ASA-103) picks up where ASA-101 left off with boat operation under sail, and adds cruising topics such as following marked channels, steering a compass course, obtaining weather information, and maneuvering the boat in close quarters under auxiliary power. The boats range in size from 33 to 36 feet in length.
