Prerequisites: Basic Keelboat Sailing (101), Basic Coastal Cruising (103),
and Bareboat Chartering (104)
Duration: 2 days. (This course can be taken as a two-day stand-alone course, or it can make an excellent addendum to either the 104 or the 106 course.)
Class size: Two students; this allows for continuous activity as each student takes turns at the helmsman and trimmer positions.
General Description: In the Cruising Catamaran (ASA-114) course, students will function as skipper and crew of a 30'-50' catamaran vessel—sailing by day in coastal waters. This course includes knowledge of boat systems and maintenance procedures. The course includes maneuvering in close quarters with twin-engines.
