Civil Rights are Inalienable

This case is a good example of why we must keep reminding people of the fact that our Constitutional Rights, i.e. "civil rights", are "unalienable" or "inalienable."

“We are sending a letter to Gov. Kasich requesting assistance from him. He could very easily do some kind of executive order or something — I don’t care if it’s constitutional or not at this point,” Cleveland Police Union president Stephen Loomis told CNN.

True "rights", as pointed out in the Declaration of Independence, are God-given, not given by government or man; if our rights were to come from government, then government could, on impulse, strip them away without notice or recourse.
