Law and Junk Science
I think that everyone has, at some time or another, said something stupid. Fortunately, it is still a rarity when people like Cassandra Arroyo Johnson and Melody Goodman 'progress' that 'skill' to the level of PhD.
What is surprising is that the authors of this paper–who hold positions at Schools of Medicine and Schools of Public Health (and, it must be noted, a School of Social Justice)–did not themselves make any apparent effort to validate the data set on which they were basing their paper.

This case illustrates the insidious, although not so subtle here, nature of boundary violation in our system of health care, and the need for a vigilant defense against such nonsense.
