An Old Constitution for 'New' Millennial's

Like an alarm clock going off, the June 26, 2008 supreme court decision of D.C. v Heller brought to the forefront the concept and purpose behind the 2nd Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. Though it is evident that not everyone has awoken to the alarm. 

Aside from the utilitarian aspect of self-defense, the right of the citizens to keep and bear arms is a civil right that was, and is, designed as a practical means of guarding against the establishment of tyrannical government. A recent article by Nicole Russell gives us a little insight into why this kind of safeguard is necessary.

If anyone needed new evidence that millennials have been deprived of a basic education, a new survey provides it with findings about their high acceptance rates of mass-murder-enabling ideologies such as socialism and communism....these numbers show a generation sadly misinformed about the historical and present realities of life under communism and socialism.

To paraphrase a famous quote made by Benjamin Franklin, although it seems to get a little shaky at times, we still have “a Republic, if you can keep it.”

By the grace of God, we will be able to keep it!
