"Peace for our time"

Groups, academics, ministers urge alternatives to U.S. military action in Iraq

Those who live in denial never have to concern themselves with things like just war theory. In the 1960's and 1970's, we called them "pacifists" and "peaceniks." Some even went so far as to wear rose-colored glasses.

An emerging ecumenical paradigm called “justpeace” offers a fresh way to view and analyze conflicts. This gives rise to the realization of a broader set of smart, effective nonviolent practices to engage hostile conflicts. See [link] for a recent example of this approach initiated by the ecumenical Faith Forum for Middle East Policy.

In his Daily Briefing Wednesday, Albert Mohler commented on the foolishness of this "justpeace" theory.
