Strategy trumps tactics, almost every time.
The old maxim "stay out of stupid places where stupid people do stupid things" can mean, unfortunately, to stay out of court's of law. Don't let a faulty criminal justice system bite you in the rear just because you've been victimized, had to defend yourself with a firearm, and you think that you have nothing to hide.
