Hurricane Milton
The forecast track of Hurricane Milton has been shifted slightly South, but the NHC prediction has been fairly accurate. It appears, at this time, that Milton will make landfall near Siesta Key, FL as a Category 3 hurricane.
There will no doubt be a significant storm surge associated with this system. One of the Data Buoys West of Siesta Key was reporting wave heights in excess of 22 feet, and the storm will arrive ashore near local high tide.
